Consultations
A gynecologic consultation may be sought for many reason. You may have first sought care from her your primary, who may be aware that your needs may go beyond his or her education, training, or experience. Different levels of consultations may be needed to make a correct diagnoses, provide technical expertise, or recommend a course of action. Occasionally, gynecologic consultation or referral may be requested when your request for care is in conflict with another healthcare providers recommendations. Finally, you may be seeking a gynecologic consultation to obtain a second opinion or explore other options for care. A second opinion consult can provide expert insight into your treatment options and will allow us to discuss the specifics of your care one-on-one.
In all cases, Dr. Alvi will review your symptoms, medical history and prior testing or imaging, to carefully evaluate and address all of your concerns. She will also explain the treatment options most likely to benefit you.
